DON'T PANIC...

Ren
My dog, Ren

I'm Zahn Camacho, BA, CBCC-KA (Certified Behavior Consultant, Canine - Knowledge Assessed), CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed).

A NOTE about behavior stuff:
Help me help your dog!
If you're able but unwilling to give the effort your dog and I need, then [sigh] PLEASE don't call me.  But if you're willing to work with me, then let's help your dog.

If you have a disability, call me.

If for any reason you're unable to participate, consider a surrogate.  I'll work with your neighbor or family member or street urchin—any adult with genuine compassion who regularly interacts with your dog.

My methods are science- and incentive-based, humane, and as simple as possible.
Using fear and intimidation isn't fun, satisfying, or even effective; worse, it can cause irreparable harm to your dog.  I want my dogs to enjoy me, not fear me.

Partnership works best.  I want your dogs to work enthusiastically to meet your goals.

I won't give guarantees; on the contrary, I'll be ethical, honest, and straightforward with you.  Each dog is an individual with his or her own story.  Every case is unique.

Aggression
Yes, I do take aggression cases. Please just let me know in advance so I can know what to expect. Together we'll work to find a solution to safely help your dog, home and community.

In-Home Training and Day Training:   What's the difference?
In-home:  If you're someone who wants hands-on interaction with your dog (you don't mind sweating or dog slobber/hair), you want to eat/sleep/live dog, and if you have the TIME and WILL and physical ability to work with your dog, then you'll prefer in-home training.  It's a commitment.  It's like home-schooling kids but with dogs, and I'll teach you how to do it.

Day training is simply me training your dog in a series of private sessions. You can be home or not (I welcome an audience), but it doesn't matter.  Training goes faster, but is more expensive.  Day training is ideal if you don't have time to train daily, or if you don't want dog training to be your full-time job.
*DAY TRAINING REQUIRES AN INITIAL SESSION WITH YOU AND YOUR DOG(S).
*DAY TRAINING IS NOT FOR AGGRESSION CASES.

COST
One session usually lasts about two or two and a half hours and costs $100.  Subsequent visits, should you need them, are discounted.
The cost of day training varies:  If you live next door, it'll cost less than if you live an hour away.  DAY TRAINING REQUIRES AN INITIAL CONSULTATION WITH YOU PRESENT.

FOR HONEST HARDSHIP CASES I'M HAPPY TO NEGOTIATE MY COST.  Just call me to discuss.  You shouldn't have to be wealthy to enjoy your dog.

Finally, if I can't make your dog flourish, I will refer you to another qualified professional whom I trust with my own dogs, but who may be less humorous or good-looking than I am.  I'm happy to do so; I just want to help your dog and you.
